Awkward Moment

This morning as I sat in bed, enjoying my day off work, and staying in my pajama's as long as I like, someone knocks on the door. Mom comes running in my room saying "YOU have to answer the door! I'm in my pj's still!!!" Ahem. I was in my pj's too. Short shorts, t-shirt and sweat shirt, hair in a HUGE bun on the very top of my head. The very top. So I run to the door, and who do I see? A Police man. Yes. A police man. Coming to tell us we need to move a car in our street somewhere else. Before he tells me what he's there for I blurt out, "I'm not dressed!!" -giggles- He blushed really red and said, "That's fine,I just need someone to move the car somewhere else." Of all the stupid things you could say to a police man...UGH! I'm never again going to stay in my Pj's till 11 o'clock in the morning. Never ever again.

Thats funny! It usually takes me some time to get out of my pj's unless I have some where to be. But think of it this way, you can look back on it and laugh about it one day.

I have had similar things happen to me. A few weeks ago I got a call from Momma Lou telling me that they would be at my house to work on her car in out garage in like 5 minutes and that meant my brother-in-law Jimmy was coming and so I made my self decent but that day more company showed up and I was still looking pretty crazy all day with a house full of people. But like Sis. Leah said those are the things to look back on and laugh. I read this post to my husband and we have already gotten a good laugh out of it.

That is so funny. I would imagine the police officer had a good laugh too when he got back in his car. I've done the same thing to Krissy. That's in the Mom's code of rights book. Let the daughter be embarrassed. Thanks for the good laugh!!!

that`s awful, but i cant say that i haven`t been in my pj`s for a long time after i got up. that had to be so embarrassing. if i can help it i usually don`t answer the door if i`m still in my pj`s. if i have to i put on a robe, & try to act Half Normal. LOL. i`m glad you made it through Lorraine.

LOL, that is funny, I would have felt really awkward also ;) I don't know if you will get this commment, because I'm really late to comment on it, sorry. I have a story a little worse... When Ryan and I lived in COlorado, he was calling someone in Oklahoma and the area code is 918. I don'tknow ifhe dialed wrong or what, but he reached 911. He told them that it was an accident that he called. I didn't even know that 911 had been called from him, and I had just got out of the shower, and was in my bra and underwear, and went in the living room for something. Needless to say, the police officer who came to make sure everything was okay, got to see a little more than he bargained for. LOL. It was mortifying!!!!
