Book Club

PhotobucketMandy and I decided that we'd start a book club! Although, we're the only two in the book club so far. We thought we'd try it out first before we invited the sisters to join us and see if we'd be able to keep up with it. We're officially starting today. Reading: Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow.
It think its a good, fun excuse for all the sisters to get together and have some dessert. What we'd talk about, I'm not sure yet, but we'll think of something! Mandy had a few ideas so we'll seeee!

At the beach with Poppi

Left to right: Me, Jonathan, Timothy and Poppi

Yesterday us three 'little' kids went to the beach with Poppi(Dad). It got hot here fast this week, so like everyone else in oregon, we headed off to the coast! I've really never gone to the beach when its been nice weather...its almost always raining or just freezing where you can't enjoy it, but it was beeeautiful yesterday! And surprisingly, it wasn't windy and cold.
We tried going to a beach we've never been to before, and we found one in Depoe Bay, but as you can see on that foot(Above) that it was very painful. Here in oregon we have nice soft sand...or so I thought until we got to this beach. There were different sections where the 'sand' (small pebbles) got bigger, and then smaller. I've never seen it do that. It was kinda like walking on glass. The cool thing about this beach was that there were two little caves in the side on the cliff that we could climb up into. It was neat! Timothy is having to use a stick to walk in the sand with.

We also got to try some crab for the first time. Well, my first and last time. ;) I didn't care for it too much, but Timo and Poppi enjoyed it. I'd rather stick to eating tuna fish. That's about all I can handle eating from the ocean. =/Us 'little' kids. Might not look like it, but I'm older then the one in the middle (Timothy).

We stopped at a few other places. We checked out the Devil's Punch bowl (but it was low tide so nothing exciting happened there.), and downtown Newport..or the historical part of Newport, where there are lots of sea lions out "arf-ing!" It was kinda funny. ;)For those of you who've never been to the Oregon Coast, this is what it looks like. =) Beeeeautiful!

Workin' at the car wash...

I had the whole day off today, but ended up baby-sitting my niece, and two nephews(Abby, James and Timothy), which was an adventure! ;) I got a lot done with them. I weeded the garden with lil' Timothy and with my younger brother Jonathan, and then we cleaned my car. Here are some cutie pictures of the kids.Hey! Aren't you going to share?!Timothy wringing out his cloth.

Oh and btw: The Enchilada soup was just okay. I'm going to keep working on finding a really good recipe. Jules: It was a really thick soup...kinda like a cheese soup.

Enchilada Soup

Have you seen those commercials for Enchilada soup at Chili's? Weeelll, I've decided to make it tonight, because it looks so creamy, cheesy, yummy! It might not taste as good as it looks, but you never know. It's a nice 'Chili' (lol) day out, so it'll be perfect! I'll let ya know if it worthy of trying.=o

Sisters Trip!

All the Sisters

We're back! We had a good time. Some of the sisters were sick this time..although it seems like every sisters trip we go on someone is sick or gets hurt before the trip or while we're gone. This year it was Sister D's turn to get hurt. =/ We were all getting ready for dinner when we heard thumping down the stairs and a scream. All us sisters just looked at each other and ran for the stairs. Thankfully it wasn't as bad as it sounded! We're glad you're okay, Sister D!! Maybe next year we'll get a house without stairs...hehe.Saturday morning Brittany, Kristen, Abigail and I made breakfast for the mothers for Mother's Day. Brittany brought her tea cups and tea pots, and we had a little tea party. We made Quiche Lorraine (Which is SO yummy), cranberry and orange scones, lemon curd and some strawberries. The teas we brought were Lemon Chiffon, Creme brulee, and Peach Melba. The lemon one was the best! ;DTop: Sis. Mandy and Me. Bottom from left: Sis Tiffany, Sis. Kristen, and Sis. Brittany

We got everything we needed to get planned, planned. So, we're almost all planned for Sky Camp! Can't wait!! AND we planned a little for our next mother-daughter tea party this year. Not sure we picked a date yet, but we have two we can choose from. That's something I look forward to every year! Max and James were the only little men allowed on the trip!

The Prank

I'm home! We got home around 11:30 last night, and I'm exhausted! I very much enjoyed our stay in Idaho, but it was a fast trip, and we weren't able to see everyone. Maybe next time I can stay a little longer...
Bro. Danny and Sis. Kristen played a mean little prank on me on our way up. I was trying to get some rest on our way to Idaho because we were going to get there around 3a.m, so as I slept they decided to slam on the breaks, and scream like we were gonna get in an accident. I can proudly say, I didn't scream like a little girl. I just sunk in the corner of my seat and held on to the sides of the car waiting for a horrible accident. It pretty much was like this ('cept I didn't scream ;) ):

It was the meanest thing, but we ( or should I say THEY) got a good laugh out of it. That's one of my worst fears, is getting in a bad car accident. Just you wait guys...just you wait. >:)

BUT, we did have a good time on the way home! We decided to play a game of..actually I don't know what it's called, but we made up a story by taking turns saying what was happening. It made the car ride go by SO much faster, and there were alot of good laughs... Too bad we didn't write it down. Anyways, I'm glad to be home!!

Potty Training time...

Well, it came sooner than I thought. Maybe by the time I'm married and have kids I'll be, like, a supermom! Heheh. The little girl I baby-sit has finally turned 2 years old this week, and already her parents want to get her potty trained. In fact, they decided today to start potty training her while I'm here. So, I'm the first to teach her to do everything, annnnd I have NO clue what in the world I'm doing!! How hard can it be, right? Well, I set the timer for every hour so that I could run her to the bathroom and try it out, but the first try we already had an accident. Oh what a mess!
Now I know a little bit what it feels like for moms that are potty training. Its kinda hard right now because she can't talk that much, so she can't tell me if she's gone or if she needs to go. Oh well, its good for me to learn something new every day!!

A million pounds

It feels like a million pounds has been lifted off my shoulders. For a few months now I've been worrying about things in my life, worrying about what the future holds for me. I had praying that if I ever was to get married someday that the man I fell in love with would be a good man for me. One that would serve God and have that be the most important thing to him, and one that would live the faith all his life with me. So, again I was thinking about it in church, and just feeling scared that what if I found a man that didn't live the faith all his life? Would I be strong enough to live my life I have always known and loved? I should hope so!! But has I put that thought away, I got a prophecy saying: I will grant you a husband that you know not of at this time. One that will walk by thy side. One that will help thy to keep my commandments and to serve me in spirit and in truth. One that will not lead thee astray. But one that will strive diligently to please me, the great God of heaven.
Ahhh, a big sigh of relief. Sometimes I worry too much about little things, but that seemed really big in my mind at the time. And no one knew I had been thinking about those things for a long time. He answered everything I worried about.
