Idaho Company!

Last weekend we had some brethren over from Idaho! It was so great to see sister Charlotte again and to meet her sister, sister Charleen and Lashanna (spelling?) and John. We had a nice visit over here on saturday night, just listened to some testimonies that were really encouraging. I love hearing what God has done for his people. It's so amazing the things He does for us.

Lashanna was soo cute! She's a sweet girl and very well behaved. :) And sister Charlotte, if you read this, I didn't mind helping you out with stuff on Saturday night! I love you! ;D I can't wait to see you all again! :)

OH MY! i had something really funny happen while i was baby-sitting. Normally if i see a spider that Aaron (the 4 year old) can reach, i have him get it for me. He loves being the manly man and saving me from BIG HAIRY spiders. Weeellll, today the spider was on the ceiling crawling around, and they always end up falling at some point during the day, so I though I'd save myself from getting a huge spider on my head at some point...that didn't happen. I got a napkin and a chair, and was right below the spider (NOT SMART) and thought I squished it and took my hand away, and dropped right on my head and was still alive. This spider was BIG and fast. I screamed really loud, did a little jig and probably scared Aaron and Sarah half to death. The spider did end up getting out of my hair after a couple seconds and then I stomped on it till it died. Sorry people who don't like squishing spiders, but I they gotta die if they're in the house!!!

OH and THEN, out of no where another spider landed right next to me on the couch later on. And was coming at me FAST. These spiders are out to get me now...*shudders*

Death...

Today wasn't the greatest day...I arrived at my baby-sitting job at 8:15 this morning and got out of the car and the dad said, "'Marie' (I'm not going to name the real names...some of you already know who my bosses are...) isn't feeling well today" and I asked why and he told me that one of her bestest best friends died in a car accident last night, and she had just gotten a call this morning about it. And as soon as I walked in the house, Marie was crying really hard on the phone trying to figure out what had happened to her best friend. My heart just about dropped to the floor, just sick for my boss and the loss of her friend. I can't even imagine what it'd be like to lose any of my brethren like that OR my bestest best friend.

What ended up happening to the woman was that she was driving with her husband (he was driving) and she was talking to her daughter-in-law on the phone, and a car on the other side of the road hit some gravel and over corrected itself and went head on into the womans car. Killing her instantly and killing the 19 year old, who was driving the other car, instantly too. The husband survived the crash, and came out with broken ribs and a concussion. What's worse was that the daughter-in-law on the phone was hearing the whole car accident when it happened! I can't even begin to imagine...
the other thing that makes me sad is that the daughter-in-law is pregnant with the womans first grandchild and she was so excited about the baby due next month... :(

Marie had heard around that the 19 year old coulda been texting on her cell phone when it happened. No one will probably know and it probably doesn't matter too much at this point. Anyways, that was really hard to see my boss crying so hard all day while baby-sitting. She ended up staying there with me all day and I watched her kids for her and made her cookies. I felt so helpless the whole day.

It was actually really interesting to see how Marie's oldest daughter took it when she heard that that person had died in the car accident. She just laughed and said , "That's okay! I'll see her in heaven someday and I'll see Raine in heaven too! But that means no more lunches with her, but I'm okay with that because we can do that in heaven!" That was kinda sweet/cute that she was so sure that they'd meet again one day in heaven. Maybe WE should have that attitude when someone we know passes away?

Anyways, everyone be smart while driving. I know you can be the safest driver around and still die in an accident, but texting and talking on the phone can wait until you're parked or at home!

Here is a article of what happened http://www.kezi.com/content/contentID/17631

don't know how long that'll be at that addy, so i'll check it and delete it if it changes.

CPR Class

Well, I took the CPR class. BUT i'm not certified yet. I wonder if that means, if a man or woman falls down in the mall and they aren't breathing if I'm not allowed to try CPR on them? I know i have the choice not to help them at all because of germs, but that's when I'm certified....right? It just seems wrong not to help someone when you see them on the ground not breathing and no one else is moving to help them. If people are so worried about germs, maybe they (the fire station people) should hand out those CPR fake breather things for us to use on people. You could carry it in your purse, or wear it as a hat! But once the fire station people get there, the person probably would have brain damage because of how long they didn't breathe. Would that be YOUR fault for not helping?

I went over to some of my sister-in-laws house to see the niece and nephews of mine. Today is Timothy's 1st B-day! He was so cute playin' outside and eating lunch. Then after I saw him I went and saw Abby and James. I love my nephews and my niece! They always put a smile on my face!

OH! I forgot. If any of you get the chance to play a game called "Would you rather....?" THAT'S a fun game! I was hanging out with Brittany on Tuesday night and we got this game at Borders and brought it home to play with sister Dayna, and we got some good laughs from it. We got some funny questions likeee..."Would you rather as a man, get beat up by a wimpy guy OR by a female pro wrestler?" Britt and I didn't agree on this one until the last second, but it's a fun game.Anyways, i think next friday we're having a sisters game night when some of the guys go camping. Should be lotsa fun!

6:00 PM

Tonight is the CPR class. This will be interesting! I'm supposed to meet my boss there at 6:00 PM! Annnd I'm gonna miss HALF of church! Or all of it. :( I'm really bummed out about that. I think the class is about 2 hours, but we'll see. Nothing too exciting to report today...

Although...Sarah (the little 1 1/2 year old I baby sit) took her first few steps today with me! That's pretty exciting. For a while she was using a stroller to keep herself up and moving and wasn't ever trying to figure out how to walk on her own, so that's part of the reason why it's taken her so long to start walking. Now I have to hide the stroller and anything else with wheels or chain them up so she can't get to them.

Anyways, I gotta run and get dinner ready! Wish me luck on the CPR class!

Laugh Out Loud

I went shopping with Russell to get a wig in case I wanted to be Alice in wonderland, aaaannnnd this was the best wig we both could find! Alice has longer hair, I know, but i don't care at this point, its just a costume. :D Raine doesn't look good as a blond!!! This is really embarrassing, so don't laugh TOO much. LOL! And if this doesn't work for me, then the boys can use the wig for a movie sometime.
I should probably just be Dorothy. lol

Tea Party

Yesterday we had our Mother-Daughter Tea Party! It was so much fun! There were alot of ladies that showed up for it this year. I think we had about 60! We had some of the brothers help us serve...they were sooo handsome! :D The ladies always seems to enjoy the guys serving them.

Everything went really good though. We didn't have anything wrong happen. But my feet hurt really bad! I got new shoes the night before and didn't get used to them before I spent all day in them so, I got alot of blisters on my pinky toes! But it was all worth it. :) Here are some pictures of the tea party...
The shoes that hurt my feet most the day....ouch!

My brothers...aren't they so cute?! I love when they all get dressed up fancy!
That's everyone that helped with the tea party! Thanks for the help everyone!!!

Also, after the tea party we normally clean up the mess and then have our own little tea party with the ones that helped, and this year some of the sisters stayed behind and helped clean up, and two of the young sisters stayed and asked to serve US! That was so sweet of them to do that! That meant a whole lot! :)

Then after our tea party I went shopping with Sis. Tiffy and Sis. Kristen for Halloween party stuff! We're going to plan a halloween costume party at the church with everyone. Its going to be alot of fun! :D Its nice just getting to hang out with my two sisters. :)

Now I'm gonna go shopping at Joann's fabric to look at halloween costume ideas. I don't know what I should be yet!!! Any ideas anyone?

Fire?!

I didn't think about this until just now, when I was watching the news about a fire...

I got home from work and made a little tortilla with a hot dog in it, and I warmed the tortilla up on the stove, put everything in the fridge and walked away to eat my lunch. About 1 1/2 hours later I hear, "The stove is still on! Who was cooking last?!" I was like "EEK!" That could've been really bad if something was put on the stove and the boys didn't know it was on. Thank the Lord the house didn't go up in flames!! That's not something I normally forget to do...
but I didn't even think to thank God for not letting the house catch on fire, I was just like "It was me, can you turn it off!" :/ Just remember to turn your stove off after you use it everyone! And make sure nothing is by it that can catch on fire. Thankfully this time nothing was even close to the stove to catch.

Wonder how many more times Gods watched over me and I don't even know....
